Do I need to download anything?
No. Events are hosted entirely in your browser. You will need a working camera and microphone.
How are the pairings decided?
Pairings are based on the event format, age range, preferences and the number of people attending. The goal is to give everyone a fair, comfortable chance to meet people who broadly match what they're looking for. It won't be perfect every time, but we'll keep improving the experience as the community grows.
Do you run LGBTQ events?
Yes. We plan to offer dedicated LGBTQ events so people can choose experiences that feel relevant, welcoming and comfortable for them. If you'd like to be notified when these are available, register your interest on the homepage.
Can other attendees see my yes or no answers?
Never. Your answers are completely private. The only time anyone learns about a response is when both people say yes, at which point both receive each other's profile details by email after the event.
What if I need to leave mid-event?
You can leave at any time. Your responses for completed rounds are still processed. We'd ask that you only book if you can attend the full event, as no-shows affect the experience for other attendees.
What is included in the ticket price?
Your ticket covers the full event: all rounds and host facilitation. There are no subscriptions or extra charges. If an event is cancelled by us, you'll receive a full refund.
What happens if there's a technical issue during an event?
The host can pause and resume the event if needed. If you have a connection issue, you can rejoin the event room from the same link. Contact support at support@justmet.com.au if you experience a significant problem.
Are there age restrictions on events?
Each event lists its age range upfront. We ask that you only book events within your listed age bracket so that the group dynamic works well for everyone.
Can I book multiple events?
Yes. You can attend as many events as you like. Each is a separate booking and payment.
How do I know if I matched with someone?
After the event is processed, you will receive an email for each mutual match. The email contains that person's profile details. There is no in-app notification or chat. Contact happens off-platform.
Is there a waitlist for full events?
Yes. If an event is full, you can join the waitlist directly from the event page. Waitlist places are approved manually and we'll notify you if a spot opens up.
