Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or attending a Just Met event, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after any update means you accept the revised terms.

2. What Just Met is

Just Met is a hosted online speed dating platform. We run live, structured events where participants have short one-on-one video conversations and privately indicate whether they would like to connect with each person. Mutual matches receive each other's contact details by email after the event.

Just Met is an event platform, not a dating app. We do not provide ongoing matchmaking, in-app messaging, or profile browsing outside of the event context.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or attend an event. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your profile. Misrepresenting your identity, age, or other details may result in account suspension.

4. Account and profile

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Please notify us at support@justmet.com.au if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your profile information (name, age, suburb, bio, photo) may be shared with mutual matches after an event. Please only include information you are comfortable sharing in that context.

5. Event booking and payments

Event tickets are purchased on a one-off basis. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.

If Just Met cancels an event, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method. If you choose not to attend a booked event, a refund is not guaranteed and will be handled at our discretion.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.

6. Code of conduct

Just Met aims to create a respectful, welcoming experience for all participants. By attending an event, you agree to treat all other participants, hosts and staff with respect.

The following behaviour is not acceptable:

• Rude, abusive, threatening or sexually inappropriate conduct
• Harassment or unwanted contact during or after an event
• Discriminatory language or behaviour
• Impersonating another person
• Attempting to record or screenshot the event without consent

Hosts may remove participants from an event at any time. Participants who behave inappropriately may be refused access to future events. If you experience a significant issue during or after an event, please contact us at support@justmet.com.au.

7. No guarantee of outcomes

Just Met does not guarantee romantic outcomes, compatibility, or any particular experience. Events are designed to give people a comfortable opportunity to meet others, but we cannot control individual interactions or results.

Events may occasionally be changed, rescheduled or cancelled where circumstances require it. We will notify affected participants as early as possible.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Just Met, you agree to the terms of that policy.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Just Met platform, including text, design, logos and code, belongs to Just Met or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use it without our written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Just Met is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, attendance at events, or contact with other participants after a match.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
